ESSS O&G Delivers Three-Day Integrity Training and Field Engagement at Origem Energia

Pilar, Alagoas — November 11–13, 2025

ESSS O&G is pleased to highlight a productive week of technical engagement and hands-on collaboration at Origem Energia, where our team led an immersive field visit and a comprehensive training program focused on advancing well integrity monitoring through the ALFAtwin Integrity Proof of Concept (PoC).

Day 1 — Field Visit: Understanding Real Operational Challenges

The visit began on November 11 with a field immersion alongside Origem Energia’s Well Integrity team. The objective was to gain firsthand insight into the operational conditions and challenges of the wells currently being monitored in real time through ALFAtwin Integrity. This experience strengthens our predictive and analytical capabilities, ensuring that the system continues to meet the critical demands of well integrity management.

Days 2 & 3 — Intensive 12-Hour Theoretical and Practical Training

On November 12 and 13, Hariel Mendes conducted a full theoretical and practical training program for Douglas Albuquerque and Gabriela Gaia, totaling nearly 12 hours dedicated to enhancing the team’s understanding and use of our Smart Integrity Monitoring system.

Theoretical Training: November 12

The session explored the scientific and regulatory foundations behind the ALFAtwin Integrity digital twin solution, including:

  • Compliance and Motivation: How the solution aligns with ANP Resolution nº 46/2016 (SGIP).
  • Modeling and Simulation: Overview of the ALFAsim multiphase flow and heat transfer engine.
  • APB (Annular Pressure Buildup): Presentation of the Multistring Model and confined integrity assessment.
  • Safety Factors (FS) and Loads: Continuous monitoring against API TR 5C3 and ISO 10400 limits.
  • Look Ahead (LA) Module: Planning upcoming critical operations.
  • Rules and Alarms: Automated alert creation for operational events.

Practical Training: November 13

The practical module focused on executing the full ALFAtwin Integrity workflow:

  • Data Integration: PI System configuration and TAG mapping.
  • Digital Twin Modeling: Full configuration of well geometry, formation, materials, and equipment.
  • Look Ahead Module: Predictive simulations such as tubing evacuation and Annular A depressurization for critical operation planning.

Strengthening Collaboration for Innovation

We extend our sincere thanks to Origem Energia, for this partnership and technical collaboration throughout the visit. Working closely with teams like Origem’s is fundamental to driving innovation, improving safety, and delivering advanced digital solutions that support reliable operations.
